Tottenham Hotspur Extends Pape Matar Sarr's Contract Until 2030
On January 3rd, Tottenham Hotspur officially announced the contract extension of young midfielder, Pape Matar Sarr, until 2030.
The 21-year-old Senegalese midfielder has delivered an impressive performance this season, featuring in 19 matches for Tottenham, with 18 appearances in the league. Sarr has contributed with 2 goals and 2 assists, including his debut goal in the club's 2-0 victory over Manchester United. Tottenham's official statement highly praised his comprehensive abilities.
Sarr joined Tottenham in August 2021 but was loaned back to Metz to continue playing before officially representing Tottenham in the 2022-23 season. So far, he has played 33 matches for the first team in various competitions.
On the international front, he made his debut for the Senegal national team in February 2022 and has since participated in 16 matches, with a notable highlight being his presence on the stage of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
