Chelsea scouts observed Zeca Larsson on Thursday
According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea sent scouts to watch the friendly match between Sweden and Portugal, which ended in a 5-2 defeat for Sweden, on Thursday local time.
Jeka Larsson has been performing exceptionally well for Sporting Lisbon this season, attracting the attention of many top clubs. Larsson has scored 36 goals and provided 14 assists in 39 appearances across all competitions this season, with 22 goals in 24 league appearances, currently topping the goal-scoring charts in the Portuguese league.
Arsenal has been thought to be interested in signing Larsson, but they face competition from Chelsea. The report indicates that Chelsea scouts were present at the match on Thursday, where Larsson started and scored for Sweden in the 58th minute.
Larsson's contract with Sporting Lisbon runs until 2028 and includes a €100 million release clause. Despite the widespread attention, Larsson has recently emphasized that he does not feel pressured.Due to Jackson's underwhelming performance this season, Chelsea is in the market for a new striker.
