The squad for this summer's European Championship will be expanded

Official announcement: The squad for this summer's European EURO 2024 Championship will be expanded, and all players will be eligible to play.

UEFA has officially stated that the squad size for this edition of the European Championship will be expanded from the previous 23 players to 26 players. Although the squad size for the previous European Championship could also include 26 players, at that time, only 23 of them were allowed to be on the matchday roster, with the remaining 3 players having to watch from the stands.

According to Agence France-Presse, this decision was made by the UEFA Executive Committee, which accepted requests from technical committees of some national teams participating in this year's European Championship.

The final squad for the 2024 European Championship must be submitted by June 7th or earlier, with just one month remaining until this deadline.
