Klopp's Farewell Speech

Liverpool defeated Wolves 2-0 at home in what was the final match for their esteemed manager, Jürgen Klopp. After the game, Klopp addressed the fans present at Anfield.

Klopp said, "I am surprised. I thought I was shattered, but I am not. I am so happy for all of you, the atmosphere, the game, and being part of this family. I am delighted with how we celebrated this day. Thank you very much! That draw with Manchester City… it helped, didn’t it? Thank you for ignoring my request not to sing my song for six weeks!" (The crowd began singing his song, and Klopp paused with a smile.)

Klopp continued, "Thank you. If you keep singing this song next year, that will be interesting. This does not feel like an end. It’s just a beginning. Today, I saw a team full of talent, youth, creativity, desire, and greed. That’s part of the development, and that’s clearly what you need. Over these weeks, I’ve received so much attention, and I’ve realized many things. People say I turned them from doubters to believers. That’s not true. You did it yourselves. No one told you to stop believing in all this. This club is in a better place than it has been in a long time. We have this great stadium, a training center, and you, which is a powerhouse in world football. Wow! We decide for ourselves whether to worry or to be excited, whether to believe or not. Today, I am one of you, and I still believe. I still believe 100%. Obviously, I see many people crying. I will cry tonight too because I will miss you, but change is good. Everything will be fine because the foundation is 100% there. You should welcome the new manager just like you welcomed me and give your all from day one. You always believed in us. You pushed the team. Now I am one of you. I love you. Thank you. You are the best team in the world. Thank you!"

Then Klopp began singing, "Slaughter, na, na, na, na," and the Anfield crowd responded.
