It is expected that Dutch fans will outnumber English fans at the UEFA European Championship semi-final
According to the Daily Mail, in the upcoming UEFA European Championship semi-final, English fans are expected to be outnumbered by Dutch fans for the first time in terms of audience size. So far, Gareth Southgate's team has enjoyed "home advantage" in all matches, with English flags flying in stadiums across Germany. However, official forecasts indicate that in Dortmund's stadium, which can accommodate 80,000 spectators, the majority of support will be for the Netherlands, with a fan ratio of 60% to 40%.
UEFA has allocated 50% of the stadium's area to Dutch fans, with the other half openly sold. Reports suggest that at least half of Dortmund's famous "Yellow Wall" will turn orange. It is expected that 80,000 Dutch fans will attend the UEFA European Championship semi-final in Germany. Meanwhile, a scene similar to the quarter-final in Dusseldorf, where 40,000 English fans traveled, is anticipated, with both sets of fans vying for limited seats.
Simultaneously, security personnel will maintain high vigilance, as reports suggest that English fans used the "two-person parallel" method to enter the stadium during the quarter-final against Switzerland, and they may attempt to repeat this behavior. Some individuals have been boasting about being able to enter the Dusseldorf stadium without valid tickets and plan to try again on Wednesday.
During the previous incident, five people were arrested for attempting to enter the stadium without tickets, but others bragged about successfully gaining entry. This situation poses significant security risks, especially considering that tickets on the resale market could reach up to £1,270. Therefore, organizers are planning to implement appropriate measures to enhance supervision.
