Joselu: "Real Madrid feels like home to me; I'd rather bear Carvajal's injury for him"

Joselu:

Joselu said: "People always miss the places that feel like home. I’m fortunate to have spent time here, wearing that jersey. The first day I stepped onto that pitch was one of the best moments of my life. Wearing that jersey at the Bernabéu, fulfilling a childhood dream — it wasn’t easy, and very few Spanish players have had the chance to do that."

Speaking about his transfer decision, Joselu said: "I don’t regret it because in life, decisions shouldn’t come with regrets. But looking at Real Madrid, I do feel like I was once there, and I experienced something just as great, if not better."

When asked what he misses the most, Joselu answered without hesitation: "That feeling of being at home. From day one, they treated me as one of their own. To be treated that way at the best club in the world, to be with the president, the coach, and world-class teammates... it was truly incredible."

He also addressed Carvajal's injury, saying: "I’d rather suffer in his place because I know what Real Madrid means to Dani. Carvajal deserves the Ballon d'Or for his performances with Real Madrid and the Spanish national team. His impact on the defense is often underrated."

Joselu also spoke about coach Ancelotti, calling him the best coach in the world, praising his ability to handle the ups and downs of the season and lead the team to success. He said: "It’s wrong to question Ancelotti right now. I trust that he understands that there will be tough moments during the season."

Lastly, Joselu was optimistic about Mbappé, pointing out that while he faces immense pressure at Real Madrid and is trying to follow in Cristiano Ronaldo's footsteps, he is working hard to make his own mark at the club.
