Switzerland
After a lackluster qualification campaign, not much was expected from Switzerland at Euro 2024. However, Murat Yakin's team surprised everyone by finishing second in their group and deservedly beating Italy in the round of 16. Switzerland was knocked out in the quarterfinals by England in a penalty shootout.

In the Nations League, though, Switzerland is on the brink of disaster. Without key players like Xherdan Shaqiri, Yann Sommer, and Fabian Schär, they have lost all three of their matches. Serbia, in third place, has already pulled ahead by 4 points. To avoid relegation to League B, Switzerland must beat both Denmark and Serbia in their upcoming matches.

Denmark
Like Switzerland, Denmark also made it to the Euro 2024 playoffs but fell in the round of 16, losing 0-2 to Germany. After that, head coach Kasper Hjulmand, who guided Denmark to the semifinals of Euro 2020, stepped down, with Morten Wieghorst taking his place.

Denmark started the Nations League well, winning their first two matches 2-0. However, they lost their top spot after a 0-1 defeat away to Spain on Saturday. The Danes managed to contain the reigning European champions for most of the match, but a goal by Martín Zubimendi in the 79th minute sealed their loss.

Switzerland possible starting lineup:
Kobel; Widmer, Elvedi, Akanji, Rodriguez, Aebischer; Amdouni, Freuler, Xhaka, Ndoye; Embolo

Denmark possible starting lineup:
Schmeichel; Kristensen, Vestergaard, Nelsson; Bah, Hjulmand, Hojbjerg, Kristiansen; Eriksen, Hojlund, Poulsen
