Klinsmann: From a sports perspective, coaching South Korea was successful

Klinsmann has been dismissed from his role as head coach of the South Korean national team by the Korea Football Association, but he believes his coaching achievements have been excellent from a competitive standpoint.



At a press conference where KFA President Chung Mong-gyu announced Klinsmann's resignation, specific language was used to describe Klinsmann's coaching effectiveness: "Klinsmann did not demonstrate the managerial skills and leadership qualities expected of a national team coach in terms of tactics, personnel management, and professional ethics to enhance the team's competitiveness.

In terms of achieving the best performance from the national team, leading players, and his professional ethics, Klinsmann did not meet our expectations as the national team coach." However, Klinsmann sees things differently. In a telephone interview with "Mirror Weekly," he said, "From a sports perspective, this is a successful outcome, and it is top-notch. We instilled an unyielding spirit in this team, and the matches against Saudi Arabia and Australia were purely dramatic."
