Mourinho: My Relationship with Pinto is Irreparably Broken
During an interview with "La Gazzetta dello Sport" at the MotoGP Portimao circuit, Mourinho stated that his relationship with former Roma sporting director Tiago Pinto has irretrievably broken down.
Regarding his departure from Roma, Mourinho said, "I leave Roma with no problem. It is difficult to understand how a coach who reached the European final twice in a row leaves, that is the only strange thing."
Recently, Tiago Pinto talked about how "difficult" it was to dismiss Mourinho, but the Portuguese coach downplayed it. Mourinho stated, "Mr. Tiago Pinto's interview, to be honest, I didn't watch for a second, I didn't listen for a second, I'm not interested at all. What he says, what he thinks, what he sells, means nothing to me. I'm not interested at all. Will he work with me again? No, of course he won't choose to."
Mourinho added, "Sometimes, things make you think it could happen, but in this case it is impossible."
